What It Does

From the Receiving Dock to the Dispatch Bay. One Connected System.

A warehouse runs on accuracy. When stock counts drift, orders ship short, pickers walk further than they need to, and finance reconciles by hand. SYSPRO Warehouse Management closes that gap by guiding every task on the floor and recording it the moment it is done.

Operators work from a barcode scanner or a mobile device, directed through receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and dispatch along the shortest sensible route. The system books goods in against a license plate, suggests where to store each item based on space and handling rules, and verifies every pick before it leaves the building.

Because Warehouse Management is part of SYSPRO rather than a bolt-on, each movement posts straight through to inventory and the general ledger. Your stock position, your costs, and your books stay in step without anyone re-keying a thing.

SYSPRO Stays the Single Source of Truth What the floor scans is what the system shows, and what the system shows is what finance reports.

How Stock Moves Through

End to End

Receiving

Goods booked in and tracked by license plate from the dock.

Putaway

Directed to the right bin based on space, velocity, and rules.

Storage

Bins, lots, and serial numbers tracked in real time.

Picking

Guided along the shortest route by RF scanner or mobile.

Packing

Verified at the pack station before it is sealed.

Dispatch

Shipped and confirmed, with the order closed out cleanly.

Every step posts live to SYSPRO ERP. No batch uploads. No manual reconciliation.

What's Inside

Six Capabilities. One Warehouse. Nothing Left to Chance.

From the moment a truck reverses to the dock to the moment the manifest is signed, SYSPRO Warehouse Management has a module for it. These are the six areas that put you in control.

LPN Tracking

Directed Receiving

Goods arrive against a purchase order, receipt, or transfer and are immediately assigned a license plate number for end-to-end tracking. The system then suggests the best putaway location based on item velocity, size, and storage rules, cutting travel time from dock to shelf.

RF + Mobile

Guided Picking

Operators are directed through pick sequences on a barcode scanner or mobile device, following the shortest, most efficient path. Discrete, batch, wave, and zone picking modes are all supported, with packing station verification before any order is sealed and dispatched.

Slotting

Bin and Slot Management

Configure your warehouse as zones, aisles, racks, and bins with capacity constraints and pick-face replenishment rules. Slotting optimisation places fast-moving items in the most accessible locations and adjusts as velocity patterns shift across your product range.

Audit Ready

Cycle Counting

Continuous auditing replaces annual full stocktakes. Schedule counts by bin, zone, or ABC class, process them in batches, and manage variances before they compound. The system flags discrepancies and keeps the stock file accurate without stopping the warehouse to do it.

Espresso Mobile

Missions and Tasks

Warehouse managers assign picking, putaway, and cycle count tasks to employees or teams as missions. Operators view and complete their queue from a mobile device via SYSPRO Espresso, with each completed task posting straight back to SYSPRO in real time as it is done.

Dispatch Ready

Packing, Marshaling and Dispatch

Picked stock is verified at the pack station, then staged through marshaling: second-stage pick confirmation, pallet and manifest creation, and customer-specific labelling. Every dispatch is verifiable against a manifest before the truck departs the dock.

Inside the Suite

Where Warehouse Management Fits in SYSPRO.

SYSPRO Warehouse Management does not operate in isolation. It runs on the same database as every other SYSPRO module, so a single scan on the floor updates your stock position, your production materials queue, and your general ledger at the same moment. There is no sync job, no overnight batch, and nothing to reconcile by hand.

Built Into SYSPRO ERP, Not Bolted On

Inventory Management

WMS is the physical execution layer for Inventory. Bin locations, lot numbers, and serial numbers update the moment a task is confirmed, so the stock position that Inventory Management shows is exactly what is on the shelf right now.

Supply Chain and Manufacturing

WMS receives the materials that Supply Chain ordered and routes them to the production floor for Manufacturing. When finished goods come off the line, they go back into the warehouse and are immediately available for picking and dispatch.

Financial Management

Goods receipts, inventory transfers, and dispatches all carry a cost. WMS transactions post directly to inventory valuation and the general ledger through SYSPRO, keeping cost of goods sold and stock values current without anyone touching the finance module manually.

Live.

Real-Time Posting

Every confirmed WMS movement posts to Inventory and the ledger instantly. What finance sees is what the floor just confirmed, not what it confirmed this morning.

One.

Single Source of Truth

WMS, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Finance all read the same data. No competing stock figures, no version of the truth that is more current than another.

Zero.

Manual Reconciliation

Goods receipts, transfers, and dispatches each write their own journal entries. Finance reads what the floor confirms. Nobody re-keys a number at month-end.

Industries Served

The Industries Where Warehouse Precision Decides the Outcome.

SYSPRO Warehouse Management is built for industries where what happens between the dock and the dispatch bay directly affects profitability. These are the sectors where getting the warehouse right is not optional.

Distribution

Your Warehouse Is the Whole Business.

When distribution is your core operation, pick accuracy and dispatch speed are your margin. SYSPRO WMS directs every task so the floor runs at the pace the order book demands.

Food and Beverage

Expiry-Aware. Lot-Controlled. FIFO by Default.

Expiry dates, cold storage zones, FIFO rotation, and lot recall readiness all demand warehouse discipline. SYSPRO WMS makes these the default operating mode, not manual workarounds.

Industrial Machinery

Large Parts. Complex Storage. Fully Tracked.

Large components, serial-tracked parts, and multi-location stores need a system that knows exactly what is where and can direct the right person to the right bin without a phone call.

Metal Fabrication

Material to Floor. Finished Goods Back. Tracked.

Bulk materials move from the yard to the production floor; finished goods return to the warehouse before dispatch. SYSPRO WMS tracks every step so nothing goes missing between processes.

Plastic and Rubber

High-Volume Storage, Batch by Batch.

Raw material bins, compound batches, and finished goods runs all share limited floor space. Accurate bin management and lot control keep production moving without the confusion of manual records.

Packaging

Fast Lines. High SKUs. Precise Picks.

High SKU counts, fast changeovers, and customer-specific labelling requirements make accurate warehouse operations non-negotiable. SYSPRO WMS handles all three without adding headcount.

How Mareba Does It

SYSPRO Is the Platform. Mareba Is the Implementation.

Installing SYSPRO WMS is one thing. Configuring it for the way your warehouse actually runs, your zones, your picking flow, your team, your stock categories. That is what Mareba does. We have been doing it across East, West, and Central Africa for over 25 years.

01

Warehouse Discovery

Before We Configure a Single Bin, We Understand Your Floor.

We start by walking the warehouse. Zone layouts, picking workflows, stock categories, handling constraints, and the gaps your team already knows about are all documented before any configuration begins. The system gets built around the real operation.

  • Physical warehouse audit and zone mapping
  • Stock category and handling rule review
  • Current workflow gap and opportunity analysis
02

WMS Configuration

Configured to Your Floor, Not a Generic Template.

Bin structures, slotting rules, picking modes, user roles, and mission allocation are all set up to reflect how your warehouse actually moves stock. We configure SYSPRO WMS to your operation, not the other way around.

  • Bin and zone structure build and validation
  • Picking mode and slotting rule configuration
  • Scanner and SYSPRO Espresso mobile provisioning
03

Go-Live and Floor Training

We Train on Your Floor, With Your Stock, Before You Go Live.

Operators train on scanners using real stock in the real bins before the system goes live. Supervisors are walked through missions, task allocation, and exception handling. Mareba stays on the floor through go-live so the first day runs cleanly.

  • Scanner and Espresso mobile operator training
  • Mission and task management supervisor walkthrough
  • Supervised live run before full handover
04

Post-Launch Optimisation

The Best Slotting Comes From Live Data. We Stay to Apply It.

Once the warehouse has been running on SYSPRO WMS, real velocity data tells us where to refine the slotting and picking sequences. We stay with you to act on that data, tune the system, and support your team as their confidence grows.

  • Cycle count schedule review and adjustment
  • Slotting refinement from live velocity data
  • Ongoing system health checks and support
